The beautiful Scottish Borders

Kelso is perfectly positioned for visiting neighbouring Border towns, the rugged East coast and North Northumberland being only 5 miles from the English border. The coastal splendour of Eyemouth, St Abb’s and Berwick-Upon-Tweed are great for a day trip. Edinburgh is only 35 miles away with regular buses and trains making the capital city accessible for all. Wherever you venture from our lovely town you will be captivated by the sheer beauty of the surrounding Scottish Borders countryside. Whatever you are looking for, the Borders has it all; walking, cycling, golf, equestrian and traditional country pursuits, an abundance of country houses and castles showcased by a landscape with a truly turbulent history. If something more leisurely is required, of course we do that too with an abundance of coffee shops, short riverside strolls and retail therapy.

If you are looking to explore where Scotland begins, then Inglestone House in Kelso is the perfect base. Any questions please contact us.
