This week we have been preparing for the long awaited reopening of our home to guests. We are extremely excited and more than a bit apprehensive at the prospect of opening our doors once again.
For the last few weeks we have immersed ourselves in all the latest government guidelines and with all relevant documentation have written a specific Covid 19 Risk assessment, including new guidelines and booking terms for guests. Keeping our guests and ourselves safe is our number one priority! We are proud of our high standards but to ensure enhanced levels of hygienic cleaning we have rewritten our cleaning schedules. Sanitising everywhere will take longer than our usual cleaning. To prevent potential spread of the virus we have removed “collateral” from rooms, this means tissues, books, cushions etc and hospitality trays (we will leave you one if you ask for it!).
Our “sneeze guard” for the reception desk has been ordered. We plan to offer our dining room for take away consumption (tables socially distant of course) just in case our local restaurants are fully booked.
We want our guests to feel that we have done everything in our power to make Inglestone House a safe place to stay. We have large rooms, wide staircases and plenty of space for social distancing. Kelso and the Scottish Borders has everything you could want for a delightful and safe stay.
Keep safe and hope to see you soon!
